Each Thursday afternoon at 2:30, our residents of Bethany Home, as well as many retired members, gather to share coffee, snacks, fellowship, devotions, prayer, and worship. While the regular attenders are primarily older, all people of any age are welcome to come. The group is especially delighted when children visit. |

The goal of our small groups is to be intentional about both evangelism and discipleship. The basic philosophy of small groups is that God uses people to grow people, so it almost does not matter why Christians gather together, as long as they do! So, we allow small groups to form naturally around people's common interests and then use these regular meetings to be intentional about making disciples. For example, we have people who gather to play games, to knit, to read Christian books, to study the Bible, to pray, etc. As these groups gather on a weekly basis they develop a community-rich environment in which everyone can grow. If you have any questions about how to join a group, or if you have an idea to start a group, plase contact Pastor Darrell. |

The Men’s Ministry in our church is a loosely organized group that gathers at various times and settings for Bible study, prayer, fellowship, discipleship, accountability, and outreach. However, while the organizational structure of the men’s ministry reflects a relaxed approach to these things, it is not a casual one. The leaders of the Men’s Ministry of our church are quite serious and intentional about building up men, encouraging, challenging, and equipping them to love and follow Jesus and becoming godly husbands, fathers, employees, and friends. There are two primary kinds of activities in the Men’s Ministry: 1. Occasional Events, and 2. Regular Small Groups. Periodically we schedule events for the men. For example, we have gone to Promise Keepers, had camp-outs and fishing trips, backyard BBQ’s, game nights, movie nights, lock-ins, etc. These are usually a lot of fun and provide good opportunities to meet new guys and to continue building relationships with old friends. There are also smaller groups of men who gather weekly for prayer, discipleship, or accountability. For questions or for more information, please contact one of the following people: Brian Bowman - 785-212-0912, Ernie Diederich - 620-345-6478, or Conley Nichols - 785-227-2970. |

Our main project is to make bandages from old sheets for the Hospital in Congo. Another project is sewing Baby Bonnets, Jackets, and Blankets for Congo. Some of the sewing may be done at home. We send used clothing to Mulberry Covenant Clothing Center in Sneedville, TN. Each year we select some other projects to help people. We have devotions and lunch at each meeting. |
